Luminous Nights

5 Star Review

Luminous Nights is a wickedly amazing intergalactic romance between Rachel Waters and Jack Luminous. The drama begins when Rachel unknowingly picks up Jack, a prisoner, after a prison riot on her Caprice ship. Jack is on a mission – expose the evil betrayer in the Draco Alliance. With Jack’s strong will and intense focus on completing his mission, it seems that Rachel has no choice but to go along for the ride.

The Top 5 Things I Loved about Luminous Nights

(1) Jack’s Crazy Attitude!
Call me looney but I loved Jack’s murderous spirit. He is so intent on exposing the truth that he will kill anyone that gets in his way. That definitely added to the suspense of the plot and drove the story forward.

(2) Jet is Awesome!
My favorite character hands down has to be Jet, Rachel’s genetically enhanced dog. He is Rachel’s Chief of Security and doesn’t think anything of Jack. I am a huge sucker for dogs and reading about Jet made me smile every time.

(3) Jack’s Digital Mask.
What would you do if you had a digital mask that could change your identity? Oh, the possibilities. Well Jack has one of these super cool masks and definitely knows how to use it. Rachel suspects that there is something not right when she first meets Jack, but it isn’t very long before the mask will come off between them.

(4) Rachel the Heroine.
Rachel’s character and personality is so relatable. While it is obvious that Jack is the aggressor between the two, Rachel does stand up for those who are weaker and I found that very admirable. Rachel has some fantastic heroic moments in Luminous Nights, and I really enjoyed reading about her.

(5) Luminous Nights is a Balanced Novel!
My absolute favorite thing about Luminous Nights is that the story is balanced. There are equal parts of action, adventure, drama, intrigue, dialogue, and romance. This made the plot flow seamlessly. I found this book incredibly easy to read.

Michele created a phenomenal world, fantastic characters, an intriguing plot, and a highly anticipated romance that will never let you see chocolate the same way again. I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Luminous Nights. It’s a delightful read worth every page. And the plots twists are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

5 Questions with Michele Hart

1.  What inspired you to write Luminous Nights?

I had two inspirations! I’d set out to write a book for a friend who really loves angels, and Luminous Nights is an angel story, sort of. I also have a special friend after whom I’d modeled Jack. He’s sexy, slick, intent, and he possesses an arsenal of tricks to use on women and make them do what he wants them to do. A very seductive person and a perfect model for a Romance action hero. He’s definitely Jack.

2.  What was your favorite scene in the novel?

The one scene I love to go back to more than any other isn’t a bodice-ripper. It’s the scene that takes place in the medical lab where Jack and Rachel experience honest attraction to one another for the first time. It has first-touch jitters to it, a lot of unspoken longing just to open themselves to one another. I like going back and reliving that scene. First-touch jitters are awesome and one of the best parts of romance.

3.  Which character did you most connect to during the writing process?

I could relate to Rachel looking at Jack and not knowing what she was seeing and fearing what he would turn out to be.

4.  What is one exciting thing that happened to you while you were writing Luminous Nights?

We’d moved into this house where I’ve done most of my writing in a very cozy space designed for the job I have a hard time picturing myself writing anywhere else. It’s been a paradise here. I’d written Luminous Nights before we got to this house, but I remember writing the chocolate scenes at this desk while munching on Hershey’s Raspberry Chocolate, a very obvious and great influence on the book. 🙂

5.  Are you working on a new novel? If so, can you share a little about it with us?

Yes, I’m finishing Vigilant, the sequel to Luminous Nights. New I-Marshal, new adventure. Where Jack is a loudmouth egotist with the technology and superhuman skills to back it up, Weber is a quiet brawler with a hair trigger. He can see guilt on a person. Vigilant widens the I-Marshal universe quite a bit. Jack’s demons are on the inside. Weber’s demons are outside and hunting him and Yadira, a young woman who can bust a human-trafficking operation wide open. Keep an eye on my web site for a publication date. Happy holidays, everyone! Love, Michele
